En el desayuno disfrutamos un mont\u00f3n, tanto de una mesa bien puesta y  de una vajilla preciosa, como de todas las cosas riqu\u00edsimas que ella misma prepara. Desde luego que es un sitio al que volver. Una opci\u00f3n perfecta para conocer Monfrague. Carmen nos indic\u00f3 adem\u00e1s una ruta a pie muy bonita para subir al castillo donde pudimos disfrutar de un paseo por un paisaje precioso casi solos. Y encima estando por los jardines de la casa disfrutamos del azahar y el jazm\u00edn mientras leemos o nos relajamos, una delicia siempre acompa\u00f1ada por el tintineo de las ovejas cerca del lago\u2026\n\nEn verano el lugar se convierte en un oasis verde a la sombra de los frutales y dem\u00e1s \u00e1rboles donde relajarse en la piscina.\n\nEn la parte pr\u00e1ctica el lugar est\u00e1 a tiro de piedra del parque nacional de Monfrag\u00fce y a poco menos de una hora (m\u00e1s o menos) de muchos lugares que visitar como C\u00e1ceres, Plasencia, Trujillo ,.. e incluso Guadalupe y M\u00e9rida por lo pronto.\n\nEl trato es maravilloso, empezando por la propietaria Carmen y extendi\u00e9ndolo a todos los que aparecen por all\u00ed a lo largo del d\u00eda en distintos momentos. Lo que nos ha ense\u00f1ado Amaranta sobre las Ocas, el ganado y casi la vida misma ha sido irrepetible. Sin desmerecer en modo alguno el servicio que se da en los desayunos y cenas, donde vienen a ayudar a Carmen para el comedor y el sal\u00f3n se convierte en un restaurante de categor\u00eda.\n\nPero claro est\u00e1 lo mejor es la propia Carmen, siempre de un lado a otro con su trato atento y cercano. Que nos haya permitido acompa\u00f1arla y ver a las gallinas, ocas, cerdos, lleguas y ovejas junto a Jara y Zarpas ha sido todo un privilegio.\nY qu\u00e9 decir de la hacienda, una construcci\u00f3n entra\u00f1able que por las tardes se inunda con los aromas de la preparaci\u00f3n de la cena, en un deleite del olfato que pocas veces hemos vivido.\n\nY un detalle m\u00e1s aparte del muladar y del observatorio de estrellas, es que junto a la propiedad discurre una v\u00eda pecuaria que es un tramo olvidado de la v\u00eda de la plata (Astorga \u2013 M\u00e9rida), y por \u00e9l que se puede conectar en un paseo de senderismo hacia el norte con el circuito rojo del propio parque nacional de Monfrag\u00fce, o hacia el sur bajar al arroyo de la vid con su \u00abse\u00f1or\u00bb puente romano.\n\nEn resumen. The room is spacious and the beds are comfortable.  We ate very well with their home-grown products.  Carmen has her own animals and vegetable farm.  This is a real 0 km hotel restaurant.  On top of that, they know how to cook.  We had some wonderful vegetable soup, salad and goat meat stew for dinner.  Their location is best for star-gazing.  In the morning, you wake up with hearing the sound of nature, singing of the birds! Eso si.. en el conjunto de la finca es una finca de caza... donde se realizan cacer\u00edas de ciervis ( a los cuales ceban durante el a\u00f1o y campan cerca de humanos sin problemas) para luego cazarlos a todos sin excepci\u00f3n. No es la due\u00f1a la que lo realiza ni est\u00e1 de acuerdo, son familiares suyos. Pero a mi me fastidi\u00f3 el viaje ver a esos j\u00f3venes ciervos en berrea sabiendo que dos semanas despu\u00e9s iban a llegar varios pijos subnormales crey\u00e9ndose que cazar detr\u00e1s de unos puestos de caza ( que est\u00e1n por la finca)  es algo divertido. Me fastidi\u00f3 el viaje y me dio mucho coraje. Fui all\u00ed por el paisaje y la naturaleza. No para saber que iban a cargarse a todos en dos semanas.
