Network of feeding stations in Extremadura

The Palacio Viejo de las Corchuelas has a feeding area for necrophagous birds, which is part of the network of feeding stations of the Regional Government of Extremadura. At our feeding area you can observe and take pictures of scavenger birds feasting on carrions from less than ten metres distance.

Well equipped

Our observatory is tightly closed off from its surrondings, fitted with spy glass and made of wood to mitigate the heat and blend in with the environment. It seats up to four people.

Full capacity

The observatory is currently at full capacity, as scavenger birds such as the black vulture, Egyptian vulture and griffon vulture have discovered the feeding place, as well as the black kite and the red kite, starlings, black-winged magpies, etc.

Two hour experience

The price is 180€ per room (VAT included), The whole experience lasts approximately two hours, including the trip from the house to the feeding place and back.
